It is not often that a book will make you say “Wow! I didn't expect”. Karice Bolton's Cataclysm is such a book. Cataclysm is the aptly named conclusion to Ms. Bolton's supernatural adventure Watcher's trilogy. In the book we continue to follow fallen angels/white demons Ana, Athen, Arie and Cyril as prepare to lead their fellow white demon into the climatic battle against Azazel and his army of dark demons. From the very start of the book you be hooked as there is a seamless transition from the end of the previous book Legions. There is plenty of action that keeps your attention as our heroic group uncover and attempt to thwart Azazel's plan of building up hs army while raising their own forces. As always Ms. Bolton adds a cast of rich vibrant characters to an ever-growing cast. One of these new characters is Noah, a white demon that lost his soul-mate to the forces of darkness, who proves himself as a valuable to the group with his skills at intelligence gathering. Returning is the evil seductress Lilith who we first meet in the Awakening in one of Ana's vision. Topping off this cast is our heroine Ana the eternal optimist that finds the power to make her visions come true.
One of my favorite scenes is when Ana first discovers the way that the dark demons are building their army by turning humans. At first she is shocked and horrified at the sight she is witnessing. She later realize though that with the help of the other white demons they can use this to their advantage.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone that has read the other two books, likes romance, adventure, supernatural or believes in the existence of angels & demons.

Cataclysm The Watchers Trilogy #3 eBook Karice Bolton Reviews
This finale was just like the other books. The element of finality did add some excitement with the battles/conclusion/whatnot, but once again, not enough new conflict, or in-depth conflict occurred in this book.
Overall in this series, the author started out with a cool new idea (in the world of angel books, etc.), but couldn't follow it up with any uniquely cool idea and the series fell flat.
All 3 of books to this series were fantastic! I couldn't put them down. I had to buy the next one after I finished one. Something I rarely do! I would recommend this to all fantasy readers especially if they enjoy good over evil.
This book gets three stars because it was okay, not awesome, but not awful. I was expecting a more dramatic ending, and perhaps if the plot had been the same but it had been written differently (better descriptions, word choice, etc.) it would have lived up to expectation. The story definitely suffered for lack of an editor and proper formatting. I also could have done without so much of the overly sappy/cheesy dialogue. We get it, she's an angel, Athen doesn't have to call her one every other line for us to remember.

I started reading the Watchers Trilogy and quickly found out that I wanted to keep reading them. The story starts a little slow, but once you get going you want to find out more. I would love to have more information about some of the secondary chaaracters. Maybe a 2nd story line that explains why the sister is not married, how did the 1/2 sister come to be, Why they can't have children, how do they make their money, What happens later, do they ever grow old?
I will just have to keep waiting for more stories to see if these and many more of my questions are answered.
At the beginning of the trilogy I thought that it was lacking a bit of drama in it. That maybe it needed more twists, but then I realized that this book (and trilogy) was perfect the way it was. Because now a days is so common to see complications and troubles, but sadly not so much the good. That's way this books are perfect, because they bring good and hope to people, even if just a bit. )
I loved this book, so much happened and all the questions were answered in this last book bringing the series to a satisfactory conclusion. It is hard to review something I really liked without giving away too much but I will try. So many twists and turns and Ana has developed into one kick ass warrior angel who inspired thousands to follow her into battle. Lots of action and battles and a greater truth is revealed over who Ana really is and why Lilith is in her life. Arie and Cyril were a wonderful couple who went through their own difficulties fighting to stay together and not allow the darkness to win. Matilda was endearing and she added something special to the story. I will miss this series as it was an unexpected delight one that I had put off reading for far to long. A surprise ending but one that I think is fitting and best described the relationship of Ana and Athen leading them to this natural progression.
Cataclysm is the third book in The Watchers Trilogy. As with Legions, this third installment starts of basically right where we left off - Thank God! With "losing" another main character I don't think that my heart could take much more. Thankfully it doesn't take long for us to figure out what happens with the lovely Arie... But I'm not going to even hint at whether or not her plan works. Read the book! ;-)
There is a lot of action packed scenes that don't always turn out the way you want them to. Lives will be lost. You have been warned. Although, you should be used to that by now... if you've been reading the books.
That is all you get for spoilers in this book. It's the final of the series and you are not allowed to find out how it ends unless you read it! I have to say that there is a lot that happens in the book and I couldn't be happier with the ending.
Miss Karice, you did a fantastic job! I absolutely loved these books and I am soooo excited to start reading The Witch Avenue series! It is actually my next books to read. You're lucky though, I usually don't even start reading a series until all of the books are out. I am very much an instant gratification kind of girl, and I don't like waiting! lol I am sure they will be equally as fantastic as The Watchers has been! ♥
